Paul Dal Bosco
Managing Director – Tax Specialist
Paul is Managing Director of Hayes Knight Melbourne and has extensive knowledge of the taxation system with over 20 years hands-on experience in the taxation arena.
His tax career began in the Australian Taxation Office, after which he was the Taxation Manager of one of Australia's largest public companies.
Paul has assisted multinational corporations, small to medium business enterprises, and family groups and individuals in all facets of taxation.
He has a wealth of taxation experience and regularly consults on direct tax compliance matters (Income Tax, Capital Gains Tax, Fringe Benefits Tax, Goods and Services Tax), State taxes including Payroll Tax and Land Tax, business structuring and reorganisations, Tax Effect Accounting, tax planning and advisory on the impact of taxation on specific business decision, R&D claims and tax concessions, court appearances on behalf of clients, application for private binding rulings, tax opinions, joint ventures, taxation of mining and extractive industries, offshore and non-resident tax matters, international transactions, employee share schemes, and negotiations with ATO on settlements.
His qualifications include Bachelor of Business, Graduate Diploma of Taxation, Fellow of Taxation Institute of Australia, Fellow of Australian Society of CPAs, Registered Tax Agent, Fellow of the National Tax and Accountants Association.
Malcolm Hardy
Director – Business Advisory Services
Malcolm Hardy is a Director in the Business Advisory Services division. He has more than 35 years experience in professional practice. Malcolm's depth of business management experience is reflected in the number of directorships he holds. These are particularly in the software, transport, financial services, aged care, medical and manufacturing sectors.
His areas of specialisation include management buyouts, finance proposals and business packaging: the realisation and execution of business concepts. Following the merger with Cran Cameron Partners in July 2004, Malcolm was appointed Managing Director of INPACT McDonald Carter and was instrumental in the move to the Hayes Knight Group.
Previous assignments include working on investigations for the VACC and AFL, and with Frontier Software, the Federal Health Department, and the Wormald management buyout.
He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, a Certified Practising Accountant, a Certified Financial Planner, and a Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Margaret Parker
Senior Associates – Business Advisory Services
Margaret is the Director in charge of Business Advisory Services and has 20 years of professional practice experience. Prior to entering professional practice Margaret was employed in the banking sector for nine years. She holds a number of board and committee positions including the Victorian Executive Committee of the Institute of Chartered Accountants and is involved in the arts through her Directorship of the Chunky Move Contemporary Dance Company.
She has a Bachelor of Economics from Monash University, a Graduate Diploma in Accounting from Swinburne University, she is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, a Fellow of the Taxation Institute in Australia, and is a Registered Tax Agent.
Vito Interlandi
Director – Business Advisory & Corporate Advisory Services
Vito Interlandi is a Director of Business Advisory Services. He has more than 15 years professional practice experience, following a successful career in industry. Vito has a specialised interest in business development and the strategic impact of taxation on day-to-day decisions.
Vito is a sought-after advisor to directors of private enterprise and public companies on the strategic impact of taxation on day-to-day decisions, and for a number of high-profile charitable and not-for-profit organisations. Vito’s team is responsible for taxation related research and advice covering major syndications, property development and construction, public or large private company groups, business management, corporate structuring and reorganisations, mergers, acquisitions and divestments, joint ventures, international transactions, formations and communication technology, superannuation, and employee share ownership schemes and incentives.
Vito has a Bachelor of Business from the David Syme Business School (Monash University), is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, Australian Society of Certified Practising Accountants, and is a registered Tax Agent.
Geoff Parker
Director – Audit
Geoff is the Director in charge of Audit, Assurance and Risk Management Services. With more than 25 years professional practice experience, Geoff specialises in Audit and Assurance. He has significant Audit experience in the manufacturing, not-for-profit, clubs and associations and education sectors.
He is accredited by the Institute of Chartered Accountants as an IT audit specialist.
Geoff is highly-regarded among his peers for his pioneering work in Audit related areas. Among his clients (past and present) is the Royal Eye & Ear Hospital, Cities of St Kilda and Brighton, Cadet Shoes, Mornington Racing Club, Yarra Glen Racing Club, Tennis Australia and the National Trust of Australia.
He holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting), CIT, he is a Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia, Member of the Australian Society of CPA’s, Associate of the Institute of Internal Auditors, Registered Company Auditor, Registered Municipal Auditor, and a Registered Tax Agent.
Tino Di Battista
Director – Business Advisory & Financial Services
Tino is a Director in charge of our Financial Services division and has over 20 years industry experience both in private practice and the public sector.
He has worked for the Australian Taxation Office.
Tino is an accredited financial adviser and specialises in providing advice on investments and superannuation to public and private corporations, high net worth individuals and non-residents.
Among the services offered by his team is tax planning and compliance, accounting and business advisory services, business structuring and restructuring, business plans, budgets and forecasts, personal and business finance, superannuation strategies, wealth creation strategies, and business succession planning.
Tino is a Member of the CPA Australia, the Financial Planning Association, SPAA (the SMSF Professionals Association of Australia) and a Affiliate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in Australia and Chartered Secretaries Australia. Tino is a Registered Tax Agent, and an Authorised Representative of Redgum Wealth Group Pty Ltd.
Hugh Douglas
Director – Executive Search
Hugh is the Director in charge of HK Search. In addition to his experience in executive search and selection in Australia and the United Kingdom, Hugh has line management experience in the freight, insurance and food industries and established a Search and Selection business which he managed for 15 years.
Hugh has built Executive Search and Recruitment into a major division within Hayes Knight Melbourne and is recognised for his innovative approach which has been embraced by employers and senior employees alike.
Hugh is also a member of the Corporate Advisory Team.
Hugh has a Postgraduate Diploma in Business Management from Aberdeen University.
